Reggie is a super-sweet 3-year-old French Bulldog with a big personality. He loves nothing more than heading out for a walk, nose to the ground, snuffling, sniffing, and exploring everything along the way. He’s obedient… until he decides otherwise – true to his breed, he can be a little stubborn at times, and he does have some resource-guarding tendencies.
Reggie’s resource guarding shows mainly around his toys, occasionally with treats, and he has also developed a habit of trying to “herd” his young human sister. This has understandably caused tension at home, as he sometimes prevents her from moving freely around the house.
Outside of this, Reggie is a healthy boy with no known medical issues. He loves time in the garden, is crate trained (using it as his safe space with the door open), and thrives with plenty of stimulation and regular exercise. With the right structure and training, he has lots of potential to grow into a wonderful companion.
When we met Reggie, he took treats very politely and absolutely loved his walk – full of curiosity and joy at every new smell. He pulls a little on the lead, but nothing unmanageable.
He greets new people with excitement, but shows no aggression and settles down quickly once he’s had a fuss. He enjoys cuddles and tickles, and it’s clear he has been loved and cared for. With his confident, sweet nature, he’s a lovely little character who just needs the right guidance.
Reggie is looking for a patient, understanding home where he can thrive. He’ll need:
No children under 12, and only dog-savvy older children who can respect his boundaries.
A pet-free home, as he has never lived with another dog and would do best as the only one.
Owners willing to continue his training with a gentle, consistent approach, helping him understand that resource guarding isn’t necessary.
Love, structure, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy walks and garden time.
Reggie is currently entire, but Team Poundie can support the cost of neutering. He is based in Warwickshire.
