2 Years Old | Entire | No Children | Pet Free Home
Bobby is a handsome 2-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, short-haired with a beautiful tan and white coat. He’s bright, loyal, and full of energy. Bobby has been part of a loving family since he was a pup and has shared plenty of adventures with them. Unfortunately, tensions have developed with the family’s elderly dog, and despite everyone’s best efforts, they can no longer live peacefully together.
Bobby was enjoying life with his family — two children, pup parents, and his older canine companion — until about six months ago when things changed between the two dogs. Both have strong personalities, and what started as occasional tension has now turned into regular conflict.
Despite this, Bobby remains a happy, affectionate young dog. He loves his walks (and can go for miles!), adores attention, and has no known health issues. The family feels it’s fairest to find Bobby a new home where he can have space, stability, and calm — and where he won’t feel the need to compete for attention.
He’s a much happier walker on his own and thrives on one-to-one time with his humans. He’s a typical Jack Russell — curious, clever, and keen to explore everything around him!
When we met Bobby, he greeted us with a wagging tail and bright eyes, full of excitement but no aggression. He loves fuss, tummy tickles, and human company — he’d happily soak up affection all day long!
Out on walks, he’s confident and alert, walking well on the lead (though a little enthusiastic — he loves to power ahead and sniff every blade of grass). He’s clean overnight, crate-trained, and can be left alone for a few hours without issue.
Bobby can be sensitive about certain areas being touched and may resource guard on occasion, so he’ll need calm, consistent handling and some positive training to help him feel more secure. He currently lives with teenage children and copes well overall, but his excitement can make him a bit overenthusiastic — so we’d suggest a home without young children until he’s more settled.
Bobby will thrive in a calm, loving environment where he can relax and rebuild his confidence. He needs:
To be the only dog in the home
No other pets, such as cats or small animals
Preferably no resident children, or only calm, dog-savvy teenagers
An active owner who enjoys long walks and has time to train and engage him
Someone who is home a fair amount, offering companionship and structure
Bobby is based in Telford, Shropshire, and meet-and-greets can be arranged for home-checked applicants. He will have full Rescue Back Up from Team Poundie upon adoption, and neutering will be supported by the rescue.
